This pattern includes two size options to suit your travel needs:
Size L (approx. 45 × 20 × 30 cm / 17 ¾″ × 7 ⅞″ × 11 ¾″): Perfect for weekend trips and suitable as carry-on luggage.
Size XL (approx. 55 × 27 × 38 cm / 21 ⅝″ × 10 ⅝″ × 15″): Offers even more room – ideal for longer vacations.
The bag features a spacious main compartment and an optional train case-style bottom compartment, which is perfect for keeping items like shoes or underwear separate. If you prefer a simpler project, you can leave this section out entirely.
Design highlights include:
- A large pleated pocket with flap on the front
- An additional front zipper pocket (for size XL only)
- Choice of either a trolley sleeve or a large slip pocket on the back
- Inside: One zipper pocket and one slip pocket
- Two construction options for the train case bottom:
With bias tape (no hand sewing)
Without bias tape (requires some hand sewing)

This project is best suited for advanced sewists, but confident beginners can absolutely take it on – just follow the instructions carefully and take your time!
