This cute Bag is a stylish, on-trend design, and the big sister of our ever-popular mini Traveler Pouch. The Fielder Crossbody bag measures 7" wide x 13.25" high. It has two handy front zipper pockets, ideal for keys, cards, and passports. There's also a full-width, full- length slip pocket on the front secured with a snap - this will take a small water bottle if you like to stay hydrated on the go! The back has a neat side-zipper pocket that takes a wallet, purse or a larger phone. Once you've worn this bag a couple of times, you'll never want to leave the house without it - it's the ultimate, stylish way to travel on planes, trains, or automobiles!
The bag requires 1/2 yard of medium weight fabric and 1/2 yd of lining - it's a great project for using up scraps of fabric as the pieces are small. Mix and match to your heart's content to make your own totally unique Fielder!
I recommend adding fusible woven interfacing (3/4 yd) unless you're using vinyl. Stiff or heavy canvas is not suitable for this design as it has to be turned right side out. NO SEAM BINDING, and no exposed seams - it's quite a clever make!
You also need 50" of 1 1/2" wide webbing tape and a matching slider and swivel hook. Two 1" D rings and 3/4yd of zipper tape. That's it.
The pattern is written in English, an is suitable for Intermediate sewers who have made a couple of bags, sewn some zippers already, and are familiar with sewing patterns.
You will receive two files -
1. A fully illustrated, detailed photo tutorial (20 pages) to guide you through the making process from start to finish with lots of tips and tricks to learn along the way.
2. A pdf file with full-scale templates - no scaling required - just print, cut out, and sew. This file is designed to be printed on any domestic printer, and will print with A4 or US letter size paper - no adjustments required. Be sure to download your file and save to the hard drive of your computer BEFORE attempting to print. Scaling should be turned off and the document set to print at 'actual size' or 100%. All other settings should be set at AUTO.
