Not a beginner pattern, but so grateful for help from Oklaroots youtube video

Some of the issues I had was self-inflicted! I used covered strapping. So, I had extra bulk. I missed cutting the D ring strapping in 2! (It was in the pattern. I missed it! Had 2 of 5" pieces). The welt pocket on the back showed the lining fabric. So started again using same color.
And, it was hard to tell that the lining fabric was on the wrong side when cutting on the diagonal... So I cut the wrong one. So, had to re-do that piece. But, after all my OCD to make things perfect, this is what turned out.

Not for a beginner

I have finally finished the bag, as a beginner I wanted to try something different and I love these styles of bags. It was harder than I thought it would be and many mistakes were made along the way, I used more material than needed because of the mistakes. The finished bag still has some flaws but I’m glad I stuck with it and completed it. It’s one I won’t do in a hurry again though.

Easy pattern- great results!

I had a bunch of small pieces of fabric that I wasn’t sure what what to do with. This pattern worked out great for that!
Thanks!
