Designed with summer in mind, the designer wanted something stylish but functional to carry to the beach or office. For a beach tote, she recommends using waterproof canvas for a no-interfacing option that still has some structure. For the office, lightweight vinyl, quilt cotton, waxed canvas, would all make great options. Add a little foam or Decovil light to give it more structure.
The front features an origami pocket with zipper and slip. At this size, you could leave the bottom of this pocket unattached and use it as a trolley sleeve for travel!
The back has a wide-pocket with vertical zipper and the bag has beautiful triangle corners at the base.
Inside, you will find another zipper pocket with overlay, a split slip pocket, a keyminder and a water bottle holder!
Skill level & video tutorial:
This pattern is appropriate for an intermediate to advanced sewist, however, a boisterous beginner would be able to follow along with the brilliant sew along video, from Michelle Graham of mgrahamsews on YouTube.
