The backpack-style shoulder straps help carry the bag hands free when you have a picnic basket and chairs to carry as well as everything else. Large open pockets on the end are ideal for water bottles and drinks. And the expanding elastic straps on the outside are perfect for rolled up towels, which might be damp or sandy at the end of the day.
Elasticated pockets and a zipper pocket in the lining keep everything neat and tidy.

Materials needed:
- 1.5 yards of canvas for the outer bag and straps,
- 2 yards of quilting cotton for the lining,
- 1.5 yards of stiff fusible interfacing,
- 2 yards of fusible fleece,
- One 10" zipper,
- Two sets of plastic snaps,
- 2 yards of 1" elastic,
- 2 yards of ¼" elastic,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
