Finished size:
14” wide by 17” tall by 6” deep.

Skill level:
Intermediate - it is assumed that the sewer has some sewing knowledge.

Materials needed:

  • 20” light canvas fabric,
  • 14” cork fabric for the base (or other fabric/material of your choice),
  • 35” cotton fabric to coordinate for lining,
  • 39” foam interfacing.
  • One fat quarter of fusible interfacing for the inner slip pockets
  • 80” cotton webbing for the strap, 1 ½” wide,
  • One 6” metal zipper to coordinate,
  • Two antique copper anorak studs
  • Antique copper rivets

The pattern:
This is a measure and cut pattern which means that you don’t have any templates (pattern pieces) to print off and match up- Yay! You need a rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat, and you can cut the pattern pieces straight from the fabric. This is easier than it sounds because the pieces are all simple squares and rectangles. You can transfer the cutting measurements to paper to create your own paper template/pattern piece if you prefer to use them.
